ClickUp Integration for Design QA
Export UI bug reports from any live page into ClickUp tasks with the screenshot, CSS selector, computed values and viewport data a developer needs. Change the task status in ClickUp and the issue follows in OverlayQA.
Tasks that arrive ready to work
ClickUp teams organize work by workspace, space and list, and a visual bug is only useful if it lands in the right one with enough detail to fix. OverlayQA's ClickUp integration creates a task in the list you choose, with the issue title as the task name and a Markdown description that carries the page URL, the element's selector, its computed CSS values, the severity, and the browser and viewport it was seen in. Screenshots are attached to the task as files.
Issues can come from a click on the live page, from a client comment on a review link, or from a scan that found them: Auto Review, the accessibility audit and the design-token checks all produce issues with the same structure, so a contrast failure and a misaligned button export the same way. Export one issue from its actions menu or up to 100 at once with bulk actions, on the dashboard or in Team Review.
After export, OverlayQA keeps watching the task. When its status changes in ClickUp, the OverlayQA issue updates to match, so the QA view and the ClickUp board never disagree about what is done. Comments, assignees and priority stay in ClickUp; this is a two-way status sync, not a full mirror.
How the ClickUp integration supports product teams
- Full context in every task: selector, computed CSS values, severity, browser, viewport and screenshots travel with the issue, so nobody reopens DevTools to rediscover the bug.
- Routed to the right list: pick the workspace, space and list at export, including lists inside folders, so frontend issues land where the frontend team works.
- Found and captured issues alike: issues from Auto Review, the accessibility audit and design-token checks export with the same structure as a captured bug.
- Status that stays true: a ClickUp webhook reports status changes back, so closing the task in ClickUp resolves the issue in OverlayQA.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which website feedback tools integrate with ClickUp?
Several website feedback and bug tracking tools export to ClickUp: Marker.io, BugHerd, Usersnap and Userback all offer ClickUp integrations, and OverlayQA does too. The difference is what gets filed. Those tools send what a person already noticed. OverlayQA also finds issues nobody reported, through Auto Review, an accessibility audit and design-token checks, and files them to ClickUp with the same selector, CSS values and screenshot as a captured bug.
How do I export issues from OverlayQA to ClickUp?
Connect ClickUp from the Integrations page in the OverlayQA dashboard and authorize access. Then open any issue, choose Export, pick the workspace, space and list, and confirm. Bulk actions export up to 100 issues at once, on the dashboard or in Team Review. Each task gets the issue title, a Markdown description with the page URL, element selector, computed CSS values, severity and browser details, and the screenshots as attachments.
Does ClickUp status sync back to OverlayQA?
Yes. OverlayQA registers a ClickUp webhook for the taskStatusUpdated event, which ClickUp fires whenever a task's status changes, so moving a task to an in-progress, done or closed status updates the matching OverlayQA issue. This is a two-way status sync: comments, assignees and priority do not sync in either direction, and there is no field picker at export.
