Changelog
What is new in OverlayQA across the Chrome extension, the dashboard, Team Review, and the MCP server.
Last updated: October 15, 2026
October 2026
- Export issues to GitHub Issues and ClickUp: Send one issue or a selection to a GitHub repository or a ClickUp list from the dashboard and Team Review. The created issue links back to OverlayQA.
- Scans tell you when an issue is no longer detected: When a scan no longer finds a problem you filed, the issue says so. Marking it fixed stays your decision.
- Clients can tell you they are done reviewing: Reviewers on a client review link can mark the review done, so you know when feedback is complete.
- Custom labels: Create labels, filter by them (including issues with no labels), and see them in exports and shared reports. Available in the dashboard, the extension, Team Review, and the MCP server.
- Files and emoji in comments: Attach PNG, JPG, and PDF files to comments, up to 10 files and 10 MB per comment, and add emoji. Clients on a review link can attach files too.
- Active issues view and creator filter: An Active issues view hides finished work, and a creator filter shows who filed what.
- Design Tokens runs in Team Review: Choose a Figma frame or a tokens JSON and run the Design Tokens scan in Team Review, with no extension needed.
- MCP server: labels and comments: AI agents in Claude Code, Cursor, and Windsurf can now manage labels, read and write comments, and look up project members.
September 2026
- Choose who sees each comment: Every comment has an audience: Team only (the default) or Team and clients. Files on a comment follow its audience.
- Assign, ignore, and filter by creator: Assign issues to a teammate on every surface, mark findings as ignored, and filter issues by who created them.
- Copy findings as Markdown or CSV: Copy accessibility, design token, comparison, and Auto Review findings to the clipboard as Markdown or CSV.
- Scheduled scans include Auto Review: Scheduled scans can now run Auto Review, so a page gets a fresh UI review on a regular schedule.
- More than one Figma file per project: Link several Figma files to a project, set a default, and switch between them when you compare.
- Join your team with your work email: Teammates can request to join with their work email, and an owner approves or declines the request.
- Branded client feedback portal on every plan: Add your logo and accent color to client reviews and shared issue links, and hide the Powered by OverlayQA line.
- Auto Review and Figma comparison in Team Review: Run Auto Review and compare a page against a Figma frame in Team Review on any public URL, with nothing to install.
